Instructional Designer

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Instructional Designer to develop engaging, effective learning experiences for diverse audiences. This role focuses on designing and building instructional materials that align with learning objectives, accessibility standards, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop eLearning courses, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions

  • Apply instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate content into learner-friendly formats

  • Create storyboards, scripts, and assessments

  • Ensure all materials meet Section 508 accessibility standards

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and revise content based on feedback

  • Support LMS implementation and course uploads

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or related field

  • 2–4 years of experience in instructional design or related role

  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles and learning theories

  • Experience designing accessible learning content compliant with Section 508

Preferred Skills and Tools

  • eLearning authoring tools: Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate

  • LMS platforms: Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, or similar

  • Multimedia tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator)

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS

  • Familiarity with accessibility tools (e.g., screen readers, color contrast checkers)

 

Senior Instructional Designer

Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Instructional Designer to lead the design and development of complex learning initiatives. This role involves mentoring team members, managing projects, and ensuring high-quality, accessible learning solutions aligned with organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end instructional design projects from analysis through evaluation

  • Develop complex, interactive eLearning and curriculum programs

  • Mentor junior instructional designers and provide design guidance

  • Partner with stakeholders to align learning solutions with business goals

  • Ensure all deliverables meet Section 508 compliance and accessibility best practices

  • Conduct needs analyses and evaluate program effectiveness using data and analytics

  • Establish design standards, templates, and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or related field (Bachelor’s with extensive experience considered)

  • 6–10+ years of instructional design experience

  • Demonstrated leadership or project management experience

  • Advanced expertise in accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG

Preferred Skills and Tools

  • Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, and Camtasia

  • LMS administration experience (Canvas, Blackboard, Cornerstone, or similar)

  • Data and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for learning evaluation

  • Experience with xAPI, SCORM, and learning technologies integration

  • Strong multimedia production and UX/UI design skills

  • Familiarity with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Jira)
